Apex Trader Funding vs My Funded Futures
Pick Apex if you want intraday-trail flexibility or to scale across many accounts. Pick MFFU if you want the fastest payouts (Rapid 2-day) or uncapped withdrawals (Pro).
Best Prop Firms for Tradovate 2026
Apex is the best overall pick for Tradovate users in 2026. If you need fast payouts, MFFU. Instant funding, Tradeify. Static drawdown, Alpha. LIVE funded environment, Take Profit Trader.
Best Prop Firms for NinjaTrader 2026
Apex is the best NT8 pick for most traders, especially if you run automated strategies. MFFU for fastest payouts. Tradeify for instant funding. Alpha for static drawdown. Take Profit Trader for a LIVE 90/10 funded environment.
Static Drawdown Prop Firms 2026
Alpha Futures Zero plan is the only major futures prop firm offering TRUE static drawdown in 2026. Every other firm uses trailing drawdown that tightens as you profit.
Instant Funding Prop Firms 2026
Tradeify Lightning is the cleanest instant-funded entry for solo traders. Lucid Direct wins for scaling across multiple accounts. Top One IGNITE wins if you can handle a 15% consistency rule in exchange for 6–10 concurrent accounts.
Best Prop Firms for Scalpers 2026
Apex is the best overall scalping firm — drawdown choice, multi-account scaling, and a workable 30% consistency rule. MFFU Rapid for fast payouts. Top One S2F PRO for intraday trail outside Apex. Avoid instant-funded plans (15–20% consistency too strict).
Apex Trader Funding vs Tradeify
Pick Apex if you want intraday-trail flexibility, broader account sizes, multi-account scaling, or automated trading. Pick Tradeify if you want to skip evaluation entirely (Lightning) or get funded in 1–3 days.
The reviews
Apex Trader Funding
Apex is the largest futures prop firm by funded-trader count and the default starting point for most futures day traders entering the prop space. Big strengths: account size variety, multiple drawdown types so you can pick what fits your style, and up to 20 concurrent accounts for scaling. Real downsides: the trailing drawdown (especially intraday) is unforgiving on reversals, the 30% consistency rule trips up traders with one big day, and recurring monthly subscription costs add up fast if you carry many accounts.
My Funded Futures
MFFU's claim to fame is payout structure variety — four plan types each tuned to a different payout strategy. Rapid is the fastest path to your first withdrawal in the futures prop space. Pro offers uncapped payouts, which no other major firm matches. The trade-off is complexity: choosing between Rapid, Flex, Builder, and Pro requires actually thinking about how often you want to be paid and whether you value speed over ceiling.
Tradeify
Tradeify is one of the newer futures prop firms and built its reputation on speed: 1-day funding on Growth, 3-day on Select, and instant funding (no evaluation at all) on Lightning. The trade-off is consistency rules — strict 20% on Lightning, 35% on Growth, 40% on Select. Solid choice if you want to skip the multi-week evaluation slog and start trading on a funded account fast.
Take Profit Trader
Take Profit Trader is the firm to pick if you want a LIVE trading environment after funding (not perpetual sim) and a 90/10 profit split that beats most of the industry. The trade-off is rule strictness: no bots, no counter positions, and a consistency expectation that effectively requires you to actually be a trader, not a martingale optimizer. Best for serious discretionary traders.
Alpha Futures
Alpha's Zero plan offers something almost unique in the futures prop space — true STATIC drawdown that doesn't move up as you profit. If you've watched Apex's trailing drawdown chew through your buffer on a single reversal, Alpha Zero is the structural alternative. Standard and Advanced use EOD trailing like everyone else. Newer firm (founded 2023), so still building track record, but the Zero plan alone is worth a serious look.
Earn2Trade Futures
Earn2Trade is the most established firm on this list — founded in 2017, well before the current prop firm boom. That maturity shows: stable payouts, clear rules, and the Progression Ladder scaling on TCP gives long-term funded traders a real path to bigger size. The trade-off is that the firm feels less aggressive on marketing than newer competitors, and the rule structure is more conservative. Solid choice for traders who value operational stability over the latest features.
Lucid Trading
Lucid is a newer entrant (founded 2023) with three plan variants targeting different trader styles. The standout is LucidDirect — instant funded, no evaluation, with a LucidScale DLL that grows with your account peak. If you want instant funded but find Tradeify Lightning's 5-account cap too restrictive, Lucid Direct is worth a look. The flip side is the 20% consistency rule on Direct — strict, but in line with other instant-funding plans.
Top One Futures
Top One has the most plan variety of any firm in our review series — five distinct structures with meaningfully different rules. The standouts: S2F Sim PRO is one of the few non-Apex plans using intraday trailing drawdown (highest payouts in exchange for the tighter trail), and IGNITE Instant Funding's 15% consistency is the strictest cap in the space. Lots of optionality is a feature if you know what you're after; it's analysis paralysis if you don't.
TopStep
TopStep is the longest-running major futures prop firm — founded in 2012, with a track record that predates almost the entire current ecosystem. The Trading Combine rules are straightforward EOD trailing drawdown, and the firm's operational reliability is genuinely strong. The 2026 shift to the proprietary ProjectX platform is the defining recent change: if you're comfortable with TopStep owning the full stack (firm + platform + clearing), TopStep is still a credible choice. If you specifically want to use Tradovate, NinjaTrader, or other open platforms, look at Apex, MFFU, or Tradeify instead — TopStep no longer supports those.
