Sync Your Trades from NinjaTrader

Connect your NinjaTrader account in one click — read-only, no order access — and your closed trades appear in the journal automatically. Prefer files? NT8 Trade Performance CSV import works too, including multi-account exports.

One-click read-only connection · NT8 Trade Performance CSV import · multiple accounts · prop firm rule tracking.

NT8 tracks your trades. It doesn’t review them.

NinjaTrader 8’s Trade Performance tab is a fine trade log: P&L, win rate, per-symbol stats. But it has no setup tagging, no journal entries, no R-multiple expectancy, and no idea what your prop firm’s trailing drawdown rules are.

The usual workaround — exporting reports and massaging them in a spreadsheet — is exactly the kind of friction that ends journaling habits within a month.

Keep executing in NT8. Let the journal layer collect and analyze on its own.

One connection — or one CSV. Then it runs itself.

Live read-only sync for NinjaTrader accounts, with NT8 Trade Performance CSV import for backfill or file-based workflows.

One-click live sync (read-only)

Authorize once from the Connections page and closed trades sync automatically — symbol, side, entry/exit, P&L, and fees. No nightly export ritual.

Read-only by design

The connection reads trade data only. It cannot place, modify, or cancel orders, and you can disconnect at any time.

NT8 CSV import + backfill

Generate a Trade Performance report in NT8, export it, and drop the CSV in — useful for history from before you connected, or if you simply prefer files. Multi-account exports import cleanly.

Multiple accounts, one view

Run several NinjaTrader accounts — personal plus prop evaluations — and see per-account P&L alongside consolidated stats.

Prop firm drawdown overlay

Attach each account to its prop firm template (Apex Intraday/EOD, TopStep, My Funded Futures, and more). The engine applies that firm’s exact rules to your synced trades and shows how much headroom you have.

AI review on every synced trade

Forge AI reads your synced trades and journal notes to produce per-trade execution reviews and daily/weekly mentor sessions — powered by data that arrived on its own.

FAQ

How does the NinjaTrader sync work?
From the Connections page you authorize a one-click, read-only connection to your NinjaTrader account. Closed trades then sync into your journal automatically — no exports needed. NinjaTrader and Tradovate share the same connection flow, so brokerage accounts on either side work.
Is the connection read-only?
Yes. It can read trade history for journaling, and nothing more — it cannot place, modify, or cancel orders. You can revoke the connection at any time.
Can I import older NT8 history?
Yes. Generate a Trade Performance report in NinjaTrader 8, export it as CSV, and import it. Trades arrive with symbol, entry/exit, P&L, and fees; multi-account exports are supported.
Does it track prop firm rules for accounts I trade through NT8?
Yes. Link each account to its prop firm rule template — Apex (Intraday or EOD trailing), TopStep, My Funded Futures, Tradeify, and more — and the drawdown engine computes your live headroom, daily loss usage, and consistency metrics from the synced trades.
What does it cost?
NinjaTrader/Tradovate auto-sync is included on the Pro plan ($10/month or $100/year) and above, with a 14-day free trial — no card required. The Free tier supports manual entry and CSV import.
Do I need anything installed in NinjaTrader?
No. The sync is account-level — there is no add-on to install in the NT8 platform and nothing running on your trading machine.

Built for the way you actually trade.
