The Trading Journal for MetaTrader (MT4 & MT5)

MetaTrader is the platform — TradersForge is the journal layer on top of it. Import your MT4 or MT5 account statement and get per-setup expectancy, R-multiple, session analysis, and AI reviews your terminal can't give you.

MT4 + MT5 statement import (HTML or CSV) · Forex, indices, metals & crypto · R-multiple & session analytics · AI trade reviews.

MetaTrader's account history isn't a journal.

MT4 and MT5 show you a trade history and an account statement: tickets, lots, open/close prices, and profit. That answers "what happened" — but not "which of my setups actually has an edge," "what's my R-multiple," or "do I trade the London open better than New York?"

The qualitative layer — setup tagging, notes, session and time-of-day breakdowns, expectancy by strategy, and pattern feedback — has nowhere to live inside the terminal. That's the work that turns a trade history into improvement.

Real journaling layers ON TOP of the MetaTrader history you already export.

Import your statement, get the analytical layer.

Drop in your MT4/MT5 statement (the default HTML report works, or CSV/TSV). TradersForge parses every trade and builds the journal, analytics, and AI review around it.

MT4 & MT5 statement import

Upload the standard MetaTrader account report — the default HTML (.htm) "Save as Report" export works directly, and CSV/TSV exports are accepted too. Each trade imports with symbol, lots, entry/exit, commission, swap, and profit.

Forex, indices, metals & crypto

Symbols are auto-classified — FX pairs, indices (US30, NAS100, DAX), metals (XAUUSD), and crypto — so your analytics group correctly across everything you trade in MetaTrader.

R-multiple & per-setup expectancy

Tag each trade with a setup and see which strategies carry positive expectancy and which quietly bleed R — the single highest-value view a raw MT history can't produce.

Session & time-of-day analysis

See your performance by session and hour (London / New York / Asia) — essential for forex traders and impossible to read off the terminal's flat history list.

Forge AI reviews every trade

Claude-powered AI surfaces behavioral patterns — overtrading a session, revenge entries, size creep — that your statement's numbers don't flag on their own.

Multiple accounts, one dashboard

Trade several MT4/MT5 accounts (or prop accounts)? Import each and track them independently, with a combined view across all of them.

FAQ

How do I export my trades from MetaTrader?
In MT4 open the Terminal → History tab; in MT5 open the Toolbox → History tab. Right-click inside the grid, set your date range, and choose "Save as Report" (MT4) or "Report" (MT5). Upload the saved .htm/.html file to TradersForge's Import & Connect page — the standard MetaTrader HTML statement is parsed directly. CSV/TSV exports also work.
Does it work for both MT4 and MT5?
Yes. The importer handles MT4 "Closed Transactions" statements and MT5 "Positions"/"Deals" statements, including commission, swap, and profit per trade.
Which markets are supported?
Anything you trade in MetaTrader — forex pairs, indices, metals like gold (XAUUSD), and crypto CFDs. Symbols are auto-classified so analytics group by asset class correctly.
Can TradersForge connect to MetaTrader live, like a broker API?
Not yet — and it's worth understanding why. Unlike a single cloud broker (e.g., Tradovate or Tastytrade) with one OAuth API, MetaTrader is desktop software shipped by hundreds of separate brokers, so there's no central endpoint to connect to. Today TradersForge journals MetaTrader via statement import. Live sync through bridges (such as MetaApi or the cTrader Open API) is on our roadmap.
Do I have to stop using MetaTrader?
No. Keep trading in MT4/MT5 exactly as you do now. TradersForge is the journal and analytics layer — separate from your trading platform — that you feed with your exported history.
How much does it cost?
Free covers manual + statement journaling. Tracker is $9/mo, Pro $19/mo (adds AI reviews, journaling, and full analytics), and Elite $39/mo (adds the AI mentor cascade and more). 14-day free trial on any paid tier.
